An intimate day, thoughtfully designed
On the 23rd of November 2024, Emily and James travelled from Cairns, Australia, to marry at Lake Hawea View. Choosing the Small celebration package let them focus on what mattered most, with planner Sonya from Girl on the Ground bringing their vision to life. A tipi from Gather & Gold added a rustic, stylish gathering space, while The Stoaker Room and The Platter Share served a relaxed, refined menu, finished with a cake from Cake Studio Wanaka.
Local hands, lasting memories
Guests danced until late with Mix Masters, before Yello safely delivered everyone home. The couple kept family close by booking out The Earth Cottage, just down the hill from the lodge. As the sun set over Lake Hawea, it marked the start of a lifetime of adventure together.
