Bookings and Reservations

A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it and any required deposit has been received. Please check your booking details carefully and let us know promptly of any errors. Rates and availability are subject to change until your booking is confirmed.

Payment and Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due before your stay or event as advised at the time of booking. Payments are handled by trusted third party providers.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation and change terms are provided at the time of booking and vary depending on the type and timing of your stay or event. We recommend arranging suitable travel or event insurance.

No Smoking Policy
Lake Hāwea View have a no-smoking policy due to being in a high-risk fire zone.

Vehicle Access
Lake Hāwea View is accessed by a 1.2 km steep gravel driveway that can only accommodate all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicles

Capacity and Numbers

Lake Hāwea View sleeps up to 14 guests overnight, with neighbouring partner properties accommodating up to an additional 16 guests within walking distance. The property can host events of up to 80 guests for a seated dinner. Guest numbers must not exceed the agreed limits.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to treat the property and its surroundings with care and respect, to follow any house guidelines provided, and to ensure their group does the same. The property sits in a peaceful rural setting, so we ask that noise is kept reasonable, particularly at night.

Weddings and Events

Weddings, retreats, and other events are subject to a separate event agreement, which sets out the specific terms, inclusions, and responsibilities for your occasion. Complimentary event supplies are provided as described in your chosen package.

Damage and Liability

Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to the property or its contents caused during their stay or event. To the extent permitted by law, Lake Hāwea View is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or belongings during your visit, except where caused by our negligence.

Partner Properties

Where your stay or event includes neighbouring partner properties, those properties may have their own terms, which we will provide where relevant.
